#1 Gasoline Companies

Project Log Entry #1
How do gasoline companies answer the fundamental economic questions when price controls are not in place?

For whom, they must think of all groups that would be needing the fuel across the nation. Consumers will need it somehow no matter what. What to produce, this will depend on the demand for what kinds of fuel consumers need or want at the time. This will also make the price fluctuate depending on what resources are being used. If there is a sufficient amount of that resource the price could be lower but if there is not as much the price will be higher. How to produce it, this will depend on how much of a given resource you have. If you have lots of oil the prices will be lower because there is a surplus of oil. Whereas if it is a fossil fuel there might not be as much so fuels containing the fossil fuels would be more expensive. Also land labor and capital are very important in making the production happen. People to find and mine the fuel, land to find the fuel on, and capital for the supplies and materials needed to retrieve the fuel.

THE Passion Project Accomplishment Sory

Throughout the passion projects we made mistakes, and difficult decisions. Our accomplishments were, we got a time planned and what foods we would probably do at the game. Such as hot dogs, hamburgers, popcorn, nachos, and different kinds of candy. Also decided on what the price of admissions would be $1 or $2. T-shirt designs, that are absolutely adorable. We began to make the posters, they are black and will have sparkly pink lettering with crowns on both of the P's.

The powder puff game project was looking very successful throughout planning. We hit a few road blocks but other than that we did get a majority of the planning done with. But one of the biggest road blocks would be when we talked about it and the seniors overheard us. They didn't like the idea of us doing a game over them. Because they wanted to have their own game. But as of right now we are going to try and work with them to have the game still but somehow let them have a game within the games we are having.

THE biggest mistake we made would be talking about our plan and then the seniors finding out, as I talked about above, because they just want their own game. We will MAKE them work with us on this because Kristi and I are determined to make this happen.

Powder Puff: UPDATE

So far Kristi and I have made our shirt design which is super cute of course! We have also  decided that the game will be in the spring because football is ending soon and it might be too chilly by the time we can have it this year. We have also made the executive decision to let other people play but they must buy a shirt that way we can raise money for the teams, and the fans will still be able to have fun.  We are currently ahead of schedule but only by a little because there's still much more to plan. I have always wanted to play a powder puff game and be able to raise more money for cheer so why not put the two together and have some fun!

From here we will begin the advertising in the beginning of February, start to get a rough estimate  of costs and materials we might need. We will begin to make signs and get shirt order forms printed. Also begin what concessions we could possibly want to feed our fabulous fans! Also we will be in contact with teams from other schools that have a powder puff game to get ideas and renovate ours.

I have learned I like to get things done as easily and quickly as possible and not waste time. Because this game takes so much time and planning, I prefer to have a rough draft of ideas that we can move around and change as we go along. Because if I don't I feel unorganized and unprepared for the event. So if I could have this same attitude when I have school work to do that would be great!

Passion Project 2k14

For my passion project, Kristi and I are planning a powder puff game between cheer and drill where football will cheer. We are doing this to raise money for cheer and drill so that we can have a little bit of extra money in our wish book account. For example if we wanted to get new bows or uniform parts we would have that extra money to use. This event would be a great way to bring in funds and be fun to watch! Cheer has some money in the wish book account but we have to use it for nationals and not everyone goes to nationals so we think it would be good to have that extra money for the people who aren't doing nationals as well. That way the money isn't just going to the competitive team.

This Year we have 21 girls and that's a lot of bows and uniform pieces! Our bows are much too big for our heads so we wanted to raise money to get new bows, and have extra money left over for other small things. Such as pink socks for pink out or, face tattoos  for games, new cheer shoes halfway through the season. Cuz boy those shoes get nasty and smelly! Cheer has wanted to do a powder puff game for awhile now so we figured this would be the perfect time to plan it!

My swimming day of fun gone hilariously wrong

It wasn't BalloonFest ’86, but it still went hilariously wrong. My sister and I had gone over to a friends house for a summer swim towards the beginning of first grade. We had the grand idea of  surfing on pool floats and we then had the fabulous idea to take it one step farther and tried to jump onto one of the pool floats. When it was my turn to jump I slipped backwards  (who knew pool floats weren't very sturdy?) I fell  into the ledge of the pool.. As I sunk down into the water all of the water around me began to turn red. I had cracked my head open, I remember my sister trying to swim over to me with her life jacket as fast as she could. But I eventually got out after most of their pool was filled with my blood.

The best part was the friend's mom was afraid of blood. So obviously she had a difficult time handling this situation.
As I'm standing on their pool deck bleeding she is  throwing up and trying not to faint, after about 10 minutes of her freaking out she figured I should go to the hospital.. They rushed me to the hospital with a Hello Kitty beach towel wrapped around my head. They went to get me  balloons from the gift shop since they felt terrible.

But then the doctor came in to give me the staples as I thought to myself "oh that silly doctor should  know I wasn't feelin like getting those staples", I ran out of that room BUT my dad grabbed my arm and pulled me back to the room even though I was screaming, that I didn't want them. They held me down and I had the honor of receiving 7 staples in my head and a new hair cut... Yes,the pool ledge cut my hair clean off.. So I rocked my long locks in the front with my bob cut in the  back for a while... My day of swimming fun turned hilariously wrong.
